LYME IS AN ILLNESS

that can be persistent and can greatly impact the lives of those who have it. Bitten is a social inquiry exploring how living with Lyme or a Lyme-like Disease (LLDs) can affect the various aspects of one’s life from the social relationships to the workplace. Guided by research, Bitten will track statistical and data trends within the Lyme community and interweave research with touching personal narratives from those most affected. To keep data as impartial and unskewed as possible, key hypotheses will be disclosed only after data gathering is complete.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
The authors are all passionately invested in Lyme disease, research and advocacy. None are being compensated for their work. This project faces many projected costs including securing a Qualtrics research license, maintaining this website where project updates will be posted and the official survey will be hosted, accessing outside data banks, securing interviews with individuals from the Lyme community and publishing costs.

Hundreds of thousands are effected by Lyme or a Lyme-like Disease (LLDs) in the U.S. alone. Help us make better resources available and shed the #LymeLight on this disease.
